Contribution to the community ACC attaches great importance to the social responsibility of business. People are our most valuable assets, and we strive to build positive relationships with the local communities and governments in every country that we work.
Meningitis is a continuing problem among the people of West Africa. In 2010, ACC organized a meningitis vaccination campaign for its employees and their families. All employees and family members were vaccinated. We are also involved in the financing of organizations such as APEE (Association des Parents et Amis d’Enfants Encéphalopathes du Burkina Faso) and FIBB (Fédération ivoirienne du basketball).
APEE
The high prevalence rates of incapacitating diseases in Burkina Faso, the lack or poverty of structures for case management, as well as the marginalization that the children and their families suffer, are reasons for which this association was created. Their goal is to improve these conditions and to fight for these children’s rights to life, health, education, information, training, work, culture, leisure and sports. ACC International Holdings helps the NGO to reach their goals and fulfill their mission by offering a financial support for projects such as the fruit and vegetable garden. The main reason for this garden is to feed the children, but the sale of its products also helps financing the association. Amongst other things, ACC has helped finance the irrigation of the garden in order to favor sustainability of the project. We have also made possible the construction of an integrative education center for children with mental deficiencies. The subsidiary C&L Natural Resources is contributing to financing the Federation. Through this partnership it promotes sports and a healthy lifestyle for the young generation in the country. |
